I shot a wonderful model, Dani, today and the focus was beauty shots! We also had the company of an amazing make-up artist, Sabah, and her work made all the images pop.

Infact, for the first time ever in my life, I am finding it hard to decide which photos to rate low or delete in my stash of images. EVERY IMAGE is totally love-able and looks far better than what I had pre-imagined before the shoot began - even when the lights were wrong or something.

This image is straight from the camera, unedited and untouched. I love the surreal nature of it but then my dear friends, before you saw anything, it’s a brilliant accident.

I tend to occasionally move the dials that control my camera shooting mode from Manual to Aperture Priority when I change my view from landscape to portrait. It sucks because my on-camera flash pops up and I kick myself everytime it happens because its’ just annoying. I have big hands too, so sometimes, my fingers just get in the way.

Yes, that happened again today and I didn’t notice this time around. Normally, I shoot at 1/200sec and f8 (A starting point for the aperture most times) and that shutter speed is pretty fast. I don’t know if it’s faster than a blink of an eye but I know it’s pretty fast. I know enough of it’s speed, so when I shoot and there is a noticeable difference, I was like argggggggggggh!! Not again.

This was actually shot at 1.3 secs (not like I was counting - I read that information from the screen). I almost deleted this but then it looked different.

I have deliberately left it untouched as I am posting it now. What are your thoughts on this photo accident?

I think I like it! But boy you need to see the other images! I’m still pinching myself!

Enjoy!
